Show & Tell: Baby Talk

1. Tell us your favorite baby names? Aside from your own babies, if you have some :)

Emmalyn (obvi), Claire, McLaine, Tinsley, Madelaine, Talullah, Taylor, Harper, Charlotte, Isla

Blake, Noah, Alex, Jackson, Talon, Jack, Ethan, Hunter

2. Show me your *dream* nursery (can be your baby's nursery or one that you love)
-->

3. How man children would you like to have? How far apart?

Three! Of course I say this now, with only one kid. I was an only child, well still am... and always wanted siblings. I think the outcome of how many children we have will be based on (God's blessings, and) the gender of our next child {nope, sorry--not preggers yet!} If we have a boy next, then the shops may be closed, but if we have a girl then we may try one more time for a boy!

There are a lot of factors to consider the second time around when having another baby: (which constitutes another post entirely!) One, being I'm still weaning off my medication from postpartum depression (woo!hoo!) & two, we are moving out of the state come June, with the Navy for the hubby's residency. Before getting pregnant again, I want to settle in to our new environment, and find both an OB and psychiatrist that I feel comfortable working with. With that being said, Emmalyn will be almost three by then. So... long explanation short... 3-4 years :)

4. Tell us what you think the importance of parenting is?
Molding our children to grow up to be model citizens: with integrity, respect, humility, and humanity to others. I pray my daughter grows up treating people the way she would like to be treated. If everyone felt this way, the whole world we be a lot nicer!

5. Show us your favorite newborn photo (can be your children or random)
I LOVE this as a birth announcement...

6. Tell us some things you promise to never do as a parent {and if you are a parent, did you still to it}
Ohhh... Justin Bieber sure got it right when he said Never! Say! Never! For reals. I said I would never give my child a pacifier, but soon learned that sometimes it might be necessary. Thankfully, Emmy stopped taking a binky on her own at 3-4 months old.

I said I wouldn't let my child watch so much TV... yeah... about that....

I will say though, that besides Emmy's first birthday cake, she has not had any *sweets*. I try very hard to feed my daughter nutritious food. I'm not perfect by any means, but I'm my child's advocate and I feel strongly that if I feed my child junk food, I'm doing her a huge disservice.
